Enlightenment of Change

Mar 11, 2019

Connie’s quote today is actually lyrics to a song by Blue Flannel

"I hate drunk people and I hate sober people

And I hate all people today

And I hate short people and I hate tall people

And I hate all people today

Cuz I'm havin' a bad day, havin' a bad day

Get out of my way, cuz I'm havin' a bad day

I'm havin' a bad day, havin' a bad day

Get out of my way, cuz I'm havin' a bad day."

Do you have bad days? Do you have more bad days than good days?

A recent study in 2017, done by Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), found that anxiety disorders in the US are affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year. These stats seem to rise every year. So what can be done to help?

Today your host, Connie Whitman, is going to speak with Anne Hayes. Anne is going to share her story of abuse and depression and perhaps you may gain some insight as to alternatives that may help you to have a good day!

Anne is an Inspirational Speaker and Coach whose mission is to help urban youths who struggle with depression to feel better immediately. Her own story of struggle related to repeated childhood sexual trauma proves powerful in her ability to impact others.

Anne Hayes also offers Master Minds that focus on one's spiritual and personal development as a necessary component to successful entrepreneurship.

She has recently produced a 3-hour workshop for corporations seeking guidance on how to reach and to connect with Millennials and how to influence Millennials.

She is the author of "Teenage Grace", a book of meditations written with the teenage soul in mind, is a mother of two teen Millennials, and is bilingual (Spanish/English).
